Our bean bag chairs are filled with SuperMixTM, the softer more durable bean bag fill that is mold, mildew and fire resistant.
Our patent pending bean bag and soft furniture fill is now comprised of a technologically advanced mildew/mold resistant polyurethane foam and a dense double pass low VOC expanded polystyrene bead. The polyurethane foam is dense yet water pours right through it. The foam's large yet strong cells allow it to dry quickly after being wet or even completely saturated with any liquid.
We mix chunks of this foam with a dense double pass low VOC expanded polystyrene bead. We are the only ones to develop this bean bag fill. This double pass bead is more dense than most single pass bead that we've seen and is up to 50% lower than legally allowed VOC levels of Pentane.
Why we use SuperMix over Regrind
EPS Regrind (found in most bean bags) once it begins compressing and begins breaking down turns into a fine powder with flat chunks which poof out of all bean bag chairs. This powder is a very fine and hard to see substance that regrettably most people don't notice. These nano-particles or micro particles and larger are now being better understood in how they affect our long term health. Nano particles of all types are being studied as the cause of a whole host of aliments in the home and work place.This is why we won't use recycled into new EPS (styrofoam) or recycled into new crumbly polyurethane (cushion) foam
Dirty, dusty fast compressing regrind
| The very best choice for fill is our new super mix which is a proprietary mix of cushion foam and virgin bead. It has the feel a poof chair but still allows you to move around and shape it easily and holds it shape better that the poof or foamy chairs.
It also makes no noise like the single pass virgin bead does. Anyone who sits in a EPS virgin bead filled bean bag comments on the noise it makes near your ear when you move around in the least bit.
As a replacement for bead fill for customers that want that we have chosen a dense low VOC double pass bead that has the bounce back of all the single pass we've seen.
